Really enjoyed working on this table for some lovely clients who asked for a mid-century inspired oak base. This involved some challenging joinery and will be posting a video of the full build in a reel soon.

Custom cabinet handle samples for a private client’s wardrobe revamp in their London home. Brown mallee (Australian Eucalyptus) and clear polished resin with antique brass knuckles. The larger handle is 310mm long and 21mm in diameter.

I just couldn’t wait to share a few of these snippets from our recent bathroom project in the heart of the countryside. A period property that was looking for a contemporary transition. With clients who day to day live by the sea, we wanted to ensure we gave them a familiarity with their home in the UK. A soft and tranquil space. Their reaction walking in was one that I will forever hold in my heart. A wonderful project, and I can’t wait to get the professional photography team in. My phone camera shots do not do it the justice this space deserves. . We wanted the bathroom to feel bright and spacious, and to do this, we opened it up by installing 3 velux windows to allow for additional natural light, we removed a chimney breast to allow for a shower and a bath in one space, we moved the openings around to ensure the flow of space was optimised; and then we went wild with our finishes 💫 More of the project to follow 🤍 . . .

Slice of London plane, trapped in time (found by our lovely clients in Regent’s Park) and encased in clear resin and set in a cantilevered stainless steel base. We added date markers to highlight its incredible age which dates back to 1815! This particular wood (and the way it was felled) threw up a few interesting challenges along the way but we hope you’ll agree that the finished piece was well worth the effort.

8 of these ‘Lennox’ dining chairs now delivered to a repeat customer who commissioned them to match their mappa burl dining table. Here we have paired our specialist brass finish with a vintage vanilla leather (from @designersguild) for a striking colour combination. Next on the design list are some bar stools, so looking forward to beginning the prototyping all over again!

British designer Emily Todhunter and her team at (@todhunterearleinteriors) covered the dressing room’s door panels in a couture-worthy @degournay blossom print. The hand-carved custom walnut door knobs are by @ilukalondon and were fabricated to echo the delicate branches.

Today marks 5 years since the launch of Iluka London and what a better way to celebrate than with the launch of our very first ‘Lennox’ Dining Chair! This is something we have wanted to create for quite some time but when we were commissioned directly from an amazing client, how could we say no? We have designed the frame to echo the shape from the base of our recent dining tables and are over the moon with the results (as are they)! This will be available in a range of bespoke finishes and fabric options and will be on display in our showroom space @designhouse_kingsroad from next week.
